"What an amazing year this has been! This year we gave thousands of kids a great place to come and have fun on Friday and Saturday nights!" stated Dale Oakes, President and Founder of Planet Kidz, Friday Nite Live! and Fun Time Live. To ensure that we keep these numbers growing, Planet Kidz, Friday Nite Live, and Fun Time Live held their 14th Annual Conference to learn from the past year, and to come up with new and exciting ideas for the next season. This year’s guest speaker was Principal David Tickner from Forestwood Middle School. He spoke about the energy and enthusiasm of the Friday Nite Live program and its Team Leaders, Gary and Elva Moore. He told us that the program has been great to use as a reward system by parents, and how it has provided a great, positive alternative to other activities that kids may find themselves doing. One thing that Planet Kidz, Friday Nite Live and Fun Time Live have always stressed is safety for the kids who attend. This year all staff members who attended were certified/recertified for CPR and the Heimlich maneuver! Awards were given out to the top 3 performing location, as well as the Outstanding Achievement Award. Pictured below, Dale Oakes giving Principal David Tickner his Appreciation Award from everyone for all that he had done for us this past year!
First Place went to Mike and Jan Nash of the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center with a total of 8,929 students who attended!
Second Place went to Randy and Kim Hight of the Saginaw Recreation Center with a total of 8,238 students who attended! Pictured is Dale Oakes (left) giving Randy and Kim Hight their award.
And Third Place went to Garry and Elva Moore of Forestwood Middle School with a total of 8,194 students who attended!
The Outstanding Achievement Award went to Garry and Elva Moore for having the biggest increase in attendance in one season!
Congratulations to everyone for all your hard work and dedication to this great program! Below is a great video put together by Jessica Moore of Forestwood Middle School highlighting topics from the conference! Enjoy!
